THC Detox Methods That Don't Work

Here you can find articles about methods which don’t work or simply do not have any evidence and no convincing mechanism. This list is not meant to be comprehensive. We are aware that there are many more methods out there, but if they are not in our THC Detox Methods section then we do not endorse them.

Zinc can only affect drug tests if you add a large amount directly to your urine. You cannot get high enough levels in your urine by taking it as a supplement.

Although not ever studied scientifically, there is no reason to think that catching the middle part of the urine is anything other than a myth.

Although very small amounts of THC can be detected in sweat, there is no evidence that it can lower overall levels in your body.

This is not referring to drinking fluids in the short term to dilute urine (which is recommended). Rather it is talking about drinking a lot of fluids over a long period of time to “flush out” THC. There is no evidence that it works.
